Obituary

NORTH OXFORD-Armand R. Lemieux, 68 of 692 Main Street, died Friday, October 11th in his home after a long illness. He leaves his wife of 11 years Alma A. (Sterczala) Lemieux, 6 daughters; Darlene Willey of N. Oxford, Cindy Cormier and Lisa Jodoin both of Worcester, Tammy Sgariglia of Webster, Kim Lemieux and Monique Moss both of Oxford, a brother Leon Lemieux of Beverly and a sister Irene Fiorantino of Auburn, a stepson Stephen J. Sterczala of Leicester, 11 grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. His first wife Beverly (Peterson) Lemieux died in 1985. 2 sons; Roger A. and Charles Lemieux, 5 brothers; Ernest, Joseph, Charles, Edward and Raymond and 3 sisters; Doris Dunlop, Beatrice Lemieux and Yvonne Curran predeceased him.

He was born in Holden the son of Edward and Mildred (Morin) Lemieux and had lived in North Oxford for many years. Mr. Lemieux served in the Air Force. He had been a chef for Phi Gamma Delta fraternity at Worcester Polytechnic Institute for 17 years, retiring this year. Mr. Lemieux was inducted by Phi Gamma Delta as an honorary brother.

The funeral will be Monday, October 14th from O’Connor Brothers Funeral Home, 592 Park Avenue, with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Ann’s Church, 654 Main Street, North Oxford. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours are Sunday, October 13th from 7:00 until 9:00 PM in the funeral home.
