Albert J. Cook, of Needham a retired machinist for the Foxborough Co., died Monday Jan. 8, 2007 at his home. He was 82.
Born and raised in Brockton he had lived in Needham for the past 40 years. He had operated the Hilltop Turkey Farm in Brockton for many years before working for The Foxborough Co. An avid farmer he enjoyed making wine and raising bees. He had received many awards from the Topsfield Fair and Hopkinton Fair for his honey making. He was a member of the Norfolk County Bee Keepers and the Audubon Society.
Al is survived by his wife Frances (Walsh) Cook, his son Barry Cook and his wife Heidi of Peterborough NH, his daughter in law Sandra Cook, his grandchildren Jonathan Cook and Christopher Cook, a sister Aldona Svelnis of Needham and 6 great grandchildren. He was the father of the late Richard Cook and brother of the late Joseph Cook.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thurs Jan 11, 2007 at 10 AM in St. Joseph Church Needham. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
