Obituary

Angus M. MacKenzie, 88, of the Bowen’s Mill Community died Monday, January 8 at his residence.

Memorial services will be held 7 P.M., Friday, January 12, 2007 at the Gathering Place at Bowen’s Mill Christian Center.

Mr. MacKenzie was born May 9, 1918, in Williamstown, Vermont, to the late John A. and Bella Murray MacKenzie. He was a retired Dairy Farmer and Minister. He was Ordained in 1976. He and his wife have lived at the Bowen’s Mill for the past 19 years. Mr. MacKenzie served in the Vermont Home Guard, during World War II. He was a former Deputy Sheriff for Orange County, VT and worked for the State of Vermont driving for the Bookmobile and state rehabilitation service. He was a member of the International Order of the Odd Fellows and the Bowen’s Mill Christian Center.

Mr. MacKenzie is survived by his wife of 66 years: Vivian A. MacKenzie of Bowen’s Mill Community; Son: Norman (Shari) MacKenzie of Bowen’s Mill Community; Daughter: Judy (Jasper) Covey of Williamstown, VT; Thirteen grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; one sister: Christina Lambert of Middlebury, VT; one Brother: John (Rose) MacKenzie of Barre, VT. Mr. MacKenzie was preceded in death by two sons and 3 brothers.
