Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (Rte 123) Brockton Friday at 9 am. Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, N. Easton at 10 am. Burial in Melrose Cemetery. Visiting Thursday 4-7 pm.

John F. Bailey 82 years N. Easton formerly of Brockton died Monday morning at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center after a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Barbara L. (Fruzzetti) Bailey. Born in Brockton a son of the late David and Mary (Casey) Bailey he was raised and educated in Brockton and moved to North Easton in 1980.
Following his graduation from Brockton High School in 1942 Mr. Bailey enlisted in the US Navy and served in both the European and Pacific Theatres.
Mr. Bailey retired in 1996 as a quality control engineer for Wang. He previously held that position at Arkless Switch and Honeywell. He also had been a self employed carpenter and had built his home in Brockton.
His hobbies included wine making, gardening and photography. Mr. Bailey also enjoyed storytelling and had contributed to the By Our Readers section in the Enterprise. When living in Brockton he was a communicant of St. Margaret Church.
He is survived by 2 sons and 3 daughters JoAnne O’Brien of Randolph, Timothy Bailey of Norwell, Rosemary Porter of Berkley, Jean Olson of N. Easton and Joseph Bailey of N. Easton.

He was the brother of the late Arlene Griffin, David “Bunny” Bailey, Marjorie Blanchette, Evelyn Erickson, Virginia Lingham and James Bailey
