Concannon, Robert C., age 61, January 6, 2007, Retired State Police Lieutenant, in Weymouth, formerly of South Boston and Dorchester, after a courageous year long battle against cancer. He went peacefully in the arms of his loving and caring wife of 36 years, Lorraine ( Giovanelli), surrounded by his son Robert of Charleston, SC, his son Brendan & his wife Holly (Lesenechal) of Dorchester, and daughter Cara of Dorchester. He is survived by 5 siblings, Carol DiGrazia & her husband Tony of CT, James & his wife Ellen of South Boston, Roger of NH, Mary Uraney & her husband John of Mesa, AZ, and Kate McDonough of Braintree. Son of the late James V. & Catherine (Rogers) Concannon. Son in law of Anne Giovanelli. He also leaves behind many friends at the South Shore YMCA where he was a member and trainer.
Visiting hours in the John J. O’Connor & Son Funeral Home 740 Adams St. (near Gallivan Blvd) DORCHESTER on Tuesday from 4-8pm. Funeral Mass Wednesday morning in St. Ann’s Church, NEPONSET at 10 o’clock. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment Cedar Grove Cemetery.
