AUBURN-James F. Donahue, 60, of Auburn, died Sunday, January 7th in the Saint Francis Home. He leaves a son, Brendan J. Donahue; a daughter, Jennifer Donahue both of Worcester; 2 sisters Sheila M. Donahue of Worcester and Mary A. McDonough and her husband Stephen of Grafton; 2 nephews, Michael P. and Joseph S. McDonough both of Grafton; a niece, Theresa M. Ream of Bedford; a grandniece, Kathryn M. Ream of Bedford; his former wife Elaine A. (Millett) Gavin.
He was born in Worcester the son of William and Mary (Savage) Donahue. Mr. Donahue was a member of Saint John’s Church and graduated from Leicester High School in 1964 and from Assumption College in 1968. He was a teacher at Leicester Elementary and was the Special Ed Administrator for Southern Worcester County Educational Collaborative for 16 years. He enjoyed running marathons and was a seminarian for 3 years.
The funeral is Wednesday, January 10th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Saint John’s Church, 40 Temple Street, Worcester. Burial will be in Saint John’s Cemetery. Calling hours are Tuesday, January 9th from 4:00 until 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
