TEWKSBURY: Charlotte L. (Heim) Daly, age 85, a former resident of Tewksbury, died Saturday, January 6, 2007 at the Life Care Center of the Merrimack Valley in Billerica, following a lengthy illness.
She was the wife of Sergeant First Class, Edward Daly, who died August 1, 1991.
Born in Karlsruhe, Germany on February 11, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Karl and Emelia (Finkenbein) Heim.
Mrs. Daly was raised and educated in Germany.
While residing in Germany, she was employed as concert pianist.
In 1951, she immigrated to the United States and became a U.S. citizen in 1962.
Mrs. Daly resided on East Street in Tewksbury for more than 40 years until recently moving to Tyngsboro.
She is survived by one daughter, Barbara C. Daly-Szabo and her husband Louis of Tyngsboro; one niece, Andrea Thuroff of Germany.
Mrs. Daly was the sister of the late Emmy (Heim)Thuroff and sister-in-law of the late Herbert Thuroff both of Germany.
Relatives and friends will be received Tuesday, Jan. 9th, 6-9 p.m., at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. At the request of the family there are No Funeral services.
