Obituary

Kay P. Grubenskas, 86, a lifelong resident of Stoughton, died at his home on Saturday, January 6. He was the husband of the late Eleanor (Robinson) Grubenskas. Born in South Boston, he was a graduate of Stoughton High School, Class of 1938. He also attended technical school. Mr. Grubenskas worked as an Estimator for F. C. Phillips in Stoughton for over 45 years, retiring in 1986. He was a member of the Stoughton Lithuanian Citizen’s Club. An accomplished bowler, he also enjoyed golf, softball and ice fishing. He was a devoted father and brother.

He is survived by his children, Peter W. Grubenskas and Paula L. Grubenskas both of Stoughton. He was the brother of Lillian M. Cohenno of Stoughton and the late Albina Smith and John Grubenskas. Mr. Grubenskas is also survived by several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews and a close family friend Amanda Cushing.

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Tuesday, January 9 at 9:15 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:15 AM. Visiting Hours Monday 4-7 PM. Donations in Kay’s name may be made to MSPCA, 1300 W. Elm St Ext., Brockton, 02301. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton.
