Mrs. Leonore (Flaherty) Bouchard, 103, of 167 Blanchard Street, Berlin, NH passed away on Friday January 5, 2007 at her home. She was born in Gorham, NH on March 18, 1903 the daughter of William E. and Almira E. (Foy) Flaherty and lived in the Berlin-Gorham area all of her life. She was a graduate of Gorham High School with the Class of 1921 and attended Keene Normal School. She taught school in Shelburne, Twin Mountain, Gorham and St. Patrick’s School in Berlin, NH, retiring in 1966. She was a member of Good Shepherd Parish, the St. Kieran Altar Guild, the AVH Auxiliary, the Luncheon Bridge Club, the Gorham Alumni Association and a former member of the Gorham/Berlin Women’s Club.
Members of the family include her daughter Mary Bouchard of Berlin, NH; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Leopold Bouchard, a sister Cecilia A. Flaherty and a brother Thomas Flaherty.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday January 9, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Good Shepherd Parish. Interment will be in the Holy Family Cemetery in Gorham, NH. Relatives and friends may call at Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Avenue, Berlin on Tuesday morning from 9 to 10:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to AVH Home Health and Hospice Services, 59 Page Hill Road, Berlin, NH, 03570 or to the TV Mass Society in Burlington, VT.
