Hanifan, Jr. of Everett, William Hanifan and his wife Florence of Malden, Peter Hanifan and his wife Anne of Medford and Barbara and Betsey Hanifan both of Beverly. Sister of the late James Fitzgerald. Cherished grandmother of 7 and great grandmother of 3. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral from the Carroll Funeral Home, 721 Salem Street, (Maplewood Square) Malden on Monday morning, January 8th at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Joseph's Church, 770 Salem Street, Malden at 10 o'clock. Visiting Hours in the Carroll Funeral Home on Sunday from 3-7 PM. Services will conclude with interment at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Retired administrative secretary for the Malden Public Schools. Born in Medford and a lifelong Malden resident, "Edna" at 87 years of age, passed away at the Dexter House late Wednesday evening after a long illness. For many years until her retirement, she worked as an administrative secretary for the Malden Public Schools.
