James J. Doolan III 59, of Scottsdale, Arizona and a former Franklin resident died suddenly Tuesday January 2, 2007 at his home.
Born in Boston, December 18, 1947 a son of the late James J. and Hilda C. (Blanchette) Doolan, he lived in the greater Scottsdale area for more than 30 years.
He was educated in Boston, and was a 1967 graduate of Catholic Memorial High School in West Roxbury. He also attended and graduated from Notre Dame School of Architecture. Mr. Doolan was at the time of his death a self employed architect.
He was an avid reader, enjoyed photography, and was active with the concerns and plight of native americans in Arizona.
He is survived by his sister, Kathleen M. Pennell and her husband Russ of Franklin, a nephew Eric Pennell and his wife Monica, and a niece Lauren Pennell.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Mass Tuesday February 20, 2007 at 10AM at St. Mary's Church 1 Church Sq. Franklin. Rev. Vincent P. Doolan, pastor of St. Joseph Church in Quincy, and a cousin to Mr. Doolan will officiate. Interment at St. Joseph Cemetery in West Roxbury is private.
