METHUEN – Lillian R. Dion, age 90 died Monday January 1, 2007 at her home in Methuen, MA.
Born and educated in Lawrence, MA for many years she worked in the shoe industry in Lawrence, MA. She also was a cafeteria worker in the Methuen School System. She was an attendant of Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish/ St. Theresa’s Church in Methuen. According her family she enjoyed doing needle point, crosswords, loved to read and taking mystery trips with AAA.
The widow of Leonel Joseph Dion, she leaves her 2 daughters Joan D. Mercer of Methuen, MA and Doris Dion of Haverhill, MA.
1 granddaughter Ellen M. Sparrow and her husband Ned of Ayer, MA
1 great-grandson Ted Sparrow also of Ayer, MA.
Several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sisters, Alice Soucy, Beatrice Bailey and Pauline Fortin.
ARRANGEMENTS: Memorials can be made to Merrimack Valley Hospice 360 Merrimack Street BLDG 9 Lawrence, MA 01843. Family and friends may call on Thursday from 4:00p.m. – 7:00p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 10:00a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish/St. Theresa’s Church in Methuen, MA. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery also in Methuen, MA.
