Obituary

Natale A. Romano, 91, passed away on January 2, 2007. A resident of Melrose, he formerly lived in the North End of Boston before moving to Malden where he lived for over 40 years. Natale worked as a shipping and receiving clerk for many years and loved to spend time with his family. His joy of traveling with his wife took him to places such as Europe, Alaska and South Africa. Natale was a United States Army veteran stationed in North Africa and Italy during WWII. He is survived by his loving wife Rose (Cavalieri) Romano. He was the beloved father of Natalie Cinelli and her husband Ronald of Methuen, Angela Zimmerman and her husband Edwin “Skip” of Malden, Juliann Tobin and her husband Daniel of Braintree and Anthony Romano and his wife Patricia of Groveland. Natale was the dear brother of Anna Inman, Emilio, Frank and Mary Romano and the late Nancy DelloRusso, Louis Romano, Julia Faletra and Filomena Iaconelli. He was also the cherished grandfather of 8 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and his late granddaughter Stephanie Cinelli. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. The Funeral will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Friday, January 5th at 9:00 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in the Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main Street, Wakefield at 10:00 am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are Thursday, January 4th from 4-8 pm. Interment Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose. Donations in his memory may be made to the Northeast Independent Living Program, 20 Ballard Road, Lawrence, MA 01843 or the American Lung Association, 5 Mountain Road, Burlington, MA 01803.
