Funeral from the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Saturday at 8 am. Funeral Mass in St. Colman Church at 9 am. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Lavigne died Tuesday evening at her home after a lengthy illness. She was born in Brockton, the daughter of the late Walter and Helen (Cronin) Townsend. Raised in East Bridgewater she was a graduate of East Bridgewater High School. She was a homemaker, who stayed at home to raise her family and for 20 years she was also a home day care provider for teachers in the Brockton area as well as 2 of her grandchildren. She was also a secretary for Fred’s Landscaping and Irrigation for 14 years.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Alfred P. “Fred” Lavigne, a daughter Susan Kashgagian of East Bridgewater, 3 sons Richard Lavigne of Lakeville, Kevin Lavigne of Plympton and Alfred C. “Fred” Lavigne of Brockton, 5 grandchildren, a brother Walter Townsend and several nieces and nephews.
