Shrewsbury—Astrid (Skog) Davidson, 93, passed away on Friday, December 29, 2006, at the Pleasant Bay Nursing Home, Brewster. Her husband, William Davidson, died in 1973. She leaves her sister, Gladys Carlson of Worcester and many loving nephews and nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces; and many great-grandnephews and great-grandnieces. Two brothers, Hjalmer and Oscar, and three sisters, Hulda Moore, Mabel Sullivan, and Dorothea Putnam predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Oscar and Edla (Olson) Skog and graduated from North High School and Becker Jr. College. Astrid was a secretary at Paul Revere Insurance Co. for many years and was a member of First Congregational Church of Shrewsbury, OES Artemas Ward Chapter, and the Shrewsbury Women’s Club.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 3, at NORDGREN MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 300 Lincoln Street, Worcester. A calling hour will be held 1 hour prior. Burial will follow in All Faiths Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Remembrance Fund of the First Congregational Church of Shrewsbury, 91 Church Road, Shrewsbury MA 01545 or the Pleasant Bay Nursing Home Activities Fund, 383 South Orleans Road, Brewster, MA 06231.
