George A. Di Grezio

TEWKSBURY - George A. Di Grezio, age 84, a resident of Billerica and Tewksbury for over
twenty years, died New Years Day, at the Blairehose of Tewksbury, nursing care facility,
following a brief period of declining health. He was the husband of Carol (Gianuario) Di Grezio,
who died in 1988.
He was born in Charlestown, on August 8, 1922, a son of the late Gennaro and Teresa (Gallone)
Di Grezio. He lived in Malden the greater part of his life, but moved to Billerica twenty years
ago, and finally Tewksbury three years ago.
He retired from the Maurice Saval Insurance Company in Boston, where he had worked as the
building and maintenance supervisor.
He is survived by two sisters and a brother-in-law, Lena Antonellis of Waltham, Everly
Quintiliani and her husband Andrew of Boston; and several nieces and nephews, including his
beloved niece and caretaker, Joan Toscano of Tewksbury, and her children, Paula Ericcsson,
Robert Sullivan, Dario Toscano and Deana Toscano all of Billerica, with whom he had resided
during his two decades in Billerica and Tewksbury.
He was also brother of the late Leopoldo, Nino and Anthony Di Grezio.
A Memorial Prayer Service was held Monday, Jan. 8, in the Chapel of the
Mausoleum at Holy Cross Cemetery, 175 Broadway, in Malden. Memorials to Mass. Lion’s Eye Research, P.O. Box 6050, New
