Obituary

WORCESTER- Lillian (Gedenberg) Maki, 96, of Worcester & Lantana FL, passed on Dec. 30, 2006 after a short illness, in the presence of her family.

She leaves a sister, Ida Mary Rasku of Holden, 2 sons, Deacon Richard Maki, his wife Evelyn of Sterling and their 4 sons Ricky, Joe, Eric, and Michael; Reverend Robert Maki, his wife Verna of Sutton and their son Harvey and daughters Janel and Kristen; 2 daughters Sylvia Heikkinen, her husband J. William of Worcester and their son Timothy and 2 daughters Cheryl and Traci; Elizabeth Hunt, her husband Roger of Worcester and their 2 daughters Laurie and Karen; a daughter-in-law Nancy Maki of Oxford and her son Raymond and daughters Amanda and Alyssa ; 7 great grandsons, 5 great granddaughters and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Eino, son Raymond and grandson Billy.

Lillian was born was born in Greenville, NH in 1910 to Michael and Mari Gedenberg. She left home at an early age to work. She loved gardening and cooking and graced many with her handmade crochet doilies and table cloths. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and traveled throughout the entire continental US and Alaska, Canada, Finland and Israel.

She was co-founder of Maki Electrical Inc. of Worcester, MA. She was a member of the Apostolic Lutheran Church of Worcester, MA.

Calling hours will be at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St. Worcester, MA 01605 on Wed. Jan.3 2007 from 7-9 pm. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Thurs., Jan. 4 at 10 AM with her son, Rev. Robert L. Maki officiating. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton, MA.
