DARTMOUTH -- Lorraine E. (Dlouhy) McKenna, age 77 years of Dartmouth, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 30, 2006 at home. The wife of the late Charles J. McKenna Jr., she was born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Blanche Dlouhy Fauteux and Charles J. Dlouhy.
Survivors include three daughters, Kathleen E. Woodacre and her husband David of Charlton, Ma., Joyce M. Lee of New Bedford, Carolyn McKenna of Dartmouth; a son, Charles J. McKenna III of Washington, D.C.; nine grandchildren; one great-grandson; and a brother, Gerald Dlouhy of Dartmouth. She was the sister of the late Jeannette Viera and the late Carl Dlouhy, also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A communicant of St. Julie Billiart Church, she was a member of their Womens' Guild for many years. Mrs. McKenna was an avid reader and lover of music and nature.
Her funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, Jan. 4, 2006 at 10 AM in St. Julie Billiart Church in Dartmouth, followed by burial in Pine Grove Cemetery. Visitation at the Wilson Chapel, 479 County St., New Bedford, on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Flowers are welcome or remembrances may be made in her name to Community Nurse's-HOSPICE Dartmouth Branch, P.O.
