Aurora E. DeSantis, age 102, of Malden formerly of Medford and Boston´s North End, died peacefully December 28th at the Melrose Care Center. She was the beloved wife of the late Alphonse DeSantis. Born in Boston she was the daughter of the late Michele and Angiolina (Rossetti) Romano.
Mrs. DeSantis was a devoted homemaker and enjoyed caring for and spending time with her loving family.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. DeSantis is predeceased by her son-in-law, Martin Hardiman Jr. and her siblings, Elizabeth Carbone, Henrietta DiManno, Michael, Edward, Thomas, William, and Blanche Romano. She is survived by her daughter, Elaine Hardiman of Malden. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Martin Hardiman of Wakefield, Stephen Hardiman of Montana and Laura Hardiman of Bradford. She is further survived by five great grandchildren and her sister, Camille Torcivia of Needham.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Wednesday at 8 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in the Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden, at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at St. Michael Cemetery, Boston. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Aurora’s memory to Hospice Care Inc. 100 Sylvan Rd. Woburn, MA 01801.
