
Henshaw Of Sabattus, Maine formerly of Whitman, December 30th Helen “Louise” (Porter), 74, beloved wife of William Henshaw, loving mother of William of Florida, Bruce and his wife Joann of Newport News, VA, Scott and his wife Noreen of East Bridgewater, MA, Susan Lauria and her husband Deo of Sabattus, ME, Kathryn Joubert and her husband Phil of Whitman, MA and Wendy Reichert and her husband Phil of Providence, RI, she was the sister of the late Roberta Andrews and Joanne Porter. She is survived by 10 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Helen Louise (Porter) Henshaw died unexpectedly, Saturday December 30th in the St. Mary’s Hospital in Lewiston, Maine surrounded by family. She was the wife of William Henshaw.
She was born March 29, 1932 in Abington, MA the second of three daughters to the late G. Robert & Bessie (Whitman) Porter she was raised in Abington, MA where she married William E. Henshaw. She worked many years at New England Art and retired from the Alumni Office at Stonehill College. She moved to Maine in 2000 and lived with her daughter Susan and husband in Sabattus.
She was active in the Rainbow Girls, both the Silver City Twirlers and Buckaroos Square Dance Clubs, and was a member of the First Congregational Church Of Whitman, UCC in Whitman, MA and the High Street Congregational Church, UCC in Auburn, ME.
In addition to her husband she is survived by three sons, William of Florida, Bruce and his wife Joann of Newport News, VA, Scott and his wife Noreen of East Bridgewater, MA, and three daughters Susan Lauria and her husband Deo of Sabattus, ME, Kathryn Joubert and her husband Phil of Whitman, MA and Wendy Reichert and her husband Phil of Providence, RI, she was the sister of the late Roberta Andrews and Joanne Porter. She is survived by 10 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Her funeral will be held Thursday January 4th at 10 am in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel (Rte 58 @ the Rotary circle) Whitman. Burial will follow in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Abington.
