Itsuko (Kuwahara) Hanscom age 62 of Derry, NH, died Monday at her home after a brief illness.
She was born in Tokyo, Japan, where she grew up and attended schools, and graduated from Tokyo University. Mrs. Hanscom was a resident of Derry, NH for the past 33 years.
Mrs. Hanscom was a Lead Bookkeeper for Kaufman Port Industries in Salem, NH. She also was the co-owner, and operator of Rye Harbor Lobster Pond in Rye, NH, where she was known as the “Lobster Lady”. She was a member of St. Matthew Church in Windham, NH, and she was a spokesperson for the Gedatus Church of Sacramento, CA. She was a member of the NH Audubon Society, and loved flowers.
She is survived by her husband of 35 years: Nathan Hanscom of Derry, NH

A memorial Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 AM at St. Matthew Church, Windham, NH. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery, Derry, NH
