Obituary

LEICESTER: Eileen F. (Clingen) Dryden,82, of 80 Reservoir St., in the Cherry
Valley section of Leicester, died Friday, December 29 in The Rose Monahan
Hospice Home in Worcester.
She leaves a son James C. Dryden and his wife Elaine of Leicester, a
daughter Donna S. Kittredge and her husband Philip of Westboro, five grand
children Jamie, Rebecca and Aimee Dryden, Kagan and Shannon Kittredge and a
great grandson Patrick Dryden.
Ms. Dryden was a telephone operator at New Telephone Co. in Worcester before
retiring. At one time, she was co owner of the Chadwick Diner in Worcester
for many years.
She was a member of the Guild of Our Lady of Providence, Irish American
Political Education Comm., and Irish American Unity Conference. She was a
volunteer at St. Vincent Hospital. A longtime cancer survivor, she has made
many "Mantels" for cancer patients.
Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of James S. and Mary (Ryan) Clingen.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 2 from the MORRISON-MORIN FUNERAL
HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester with a Mass at 11a.m.. in St. Pius X Church,
1153 Main St., Leicester. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery,
Leicester. A calling hour will be held on Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to V.N.A. Care Hospice, 120
Thomas St., Worcester, Ma. 01608.
