Roselle J. (Green) Murphy, of Medford, died Friday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Boston. She was 82.
Born in Bangor, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Francis and the late Helena (Rist) Green. She settled in Medford where she completed her schooling. Roselle worked as a secretery and bookkeeper for Boshco Machinery in Medford for many years before her retirement. She was the past president of the Irish American Club Women’s Auxiliary and was a member of St. Raphael’s Sodality and Seniors club.
She was the beloved wife of Martin L. Murphy. She was a devoted mother to Marty Murphy and his wife Mary of Medford, Stephen Murphy and his wife Raffaela of Clearwater, FL, and the late Diane Cabral. She was the dear mother-in-law of Phil Cabral of Dedham. She was a loving grandmother to Douglas, Kim, Greg, Mark, Jacqueline, Eric, Stacey, Ryan, Stephanie and great grandmother to Christopher. She was the sister of Francis Green and his wife Joan.
Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford Tuesday at 10 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Raphael Church, 512 High Street, Medford, at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday 3 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
