Mary (Jacobs) Donigian, 91, of Salem, NH died Dec. 28th at her son’s home in Fremont, NH with her family by her side.
Born in Madison, ME on Aug. 29, 1915 the daughter of Hope & Charles Jacobs, Mary graduated as Valedictorian from Madison High School. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Antranig Donigian to whom she was married for 55 years. Together they raised their children on the Donigian Farm on Pelham Rd in Salem.
Mary devoted all her energies to being a loving wife and dedicated mother. She loved to knit, crotchet and was always cooking for her extensive family and friends. She enjoyed spending summers at Salisbury Beach.
Mary was a member of St. Gregory Armenian Apostolic Church of No. Andover, the Armenian Relief Society (ARS) and enjoyed working and cooking for various church functions.
Known as “Mum” to her family she is survived by her eight children and spouses: Diana M. & Robert S. Nazarian of Salisbury, MA, Jacob A. & Janice Donigian of Fremont, NH, Dorothy M & Ara A. Nazarian of Nashua, NH, Mourad M. & Diane Donigian of Elgin, OR, Sylvia M & Anthony Doherty, Jr of Jacsonville, FL, Selma R. Apovian of Salem, NH, Anthony S. & Nancy Donigian of Sunnyvale, CA and Dr. Aram M. & Lisa Donigian of Beavercreek,OH. Mary reveled in having her family around her, especially her 28 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren.
Calling hours will be Wed. from 3-7 PM at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH. A Funeral Service will be held Thurs. at 10:30 AM at St. Gregory Apostolic Church in No. Andover, MA. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery in Salem. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to:
