Brimfield—Stephen P. Malm, 47, died Thursday, December 28, 2006, at UMass Memorial Healthcare University Campus. He leaves his wife of 19 years, Deborah A. (Coyne) Malm, a daughter, Amber L. Malm of Boston, four brothers, Gregory R. and his wife Maria of Templeton, Daniel A. and his wife Andrea of Sturbridge, David M. and his wife Cecilia of Leominster, and Donald J. and his wife Judith of Worcester; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Stephen was born in Wichita Falls, Texas, son of Philip and Virginia (Haas) Malm. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service in the Springfield Post Office. He was a member of St. Christopher’s Church in Brimfield and the U.S. Postal Workers’ Union. He loved the outdoors and his dogs, hiking, fishing, and hunting. He was an avid guitar player and enjoyed bluegrass and folk music.
The funeral will be held from NORDGREN MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 300 Lincoln Street, Worcester, with a 10:00 a.m. Mass at Our Lady of the Rosary, 25 Fales Street,Worcester. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be held at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, on Tuesday, Jan. 2, from 5-8 p.m. Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St. Framingham MA 01701.
