NORTH OXFORD__Raymond A. Cormier, 71, of 5 Patricia Drive, North Oxford, died Tuesday, December 26 in St. Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center. He is survived by his children Denise of Daytona, FL, Susan and Patti, Mary and her husband Kevin all of Blackstone, Luann and Nicole of Worcester, Lisa and her husband Dan of Webster, Mark and his wife Diane of Dunnellon, FL; a brother Francis of Leicester, two sisters, Pauline of Leicester and Threse of Spencer; fourteen grandchildren, Sarah, Jason, Jenny, Dianne, Juliana, Jackie, Olivia, Noel, Justin, Hailey, Harrison, Tori, Matthew, Benjamin, and Erin, and one great grandchild, Jeditiah. He also leaves his father Marco Ricci of Spencer, several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was born in Worcester, son of Raymond A. and Irene (Hebert) Cormier Sr. and lived in Worcester most of his life before moving to North Oxford two years ago.
Raymond graduated from Worcester School of Commerce. Mr. Cormier served in the National Guards, he was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Auburn Elks where he was a bingo caller. He was a volunteer with St. Vincents De Paul Society driving the elderly van. He is a member of St. Anne’s Church, North Oxford.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 30, at 10 am in St. Anne’s Church, 654 Main St., North Oxford. Calling hours will be at DIRSA MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298Grafton St., Worcester, MA., Friday, December 29 from 3:00 to 7:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to St. Vincent De Paul Society, C/o St. Anne’s Church, P.O. Box 488, North Oxford, Ma 01537.
