Lexie Mae Grantham Ross, 77, of Fitzgerald died Tuesday, December 26 at Dorminy Medical Center in Fitzgerald.
Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Friday, December 29, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, with Rev. Danny Allen, officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 7 until 9 Thursday evening at the funeral home.
Mrs. Ross was born March 23, 1929, in Fitzgerald to the late Tom and Myrtie O’Neal Grantham. She lived in Fitzgerald and Irwin County most of her life and was a former resident of Hahira and Nashville. Mrs. Ross was a homemaker and an accomplished seamstress. She enjoyed sewing and fixing hair for her family and friends. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Mrs. Ross is survived by her husband: Carl Ross of Fitzgerald; sons and daughter-in-law: James Pack-Ross of Brunswick, Earl Ross of Millen and Bobby & Mary Ross of Fitzgerald; 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Tim Ross, 1 brother and 2 sisters.
