RUTLAND__Eileen Marie Boyce Paulson, 56, of Rutland, passed away, Sunday, December 24, in St. Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center, after a long battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband of thirty two years, Kirk Robert Paulson and her daughter Sarah Astrid Paulson of Worcester; two brothers, Francis X. Boyce, Jr. and Phillip R. Boyce, both of Clinton. She also leaves her canine best friend “Jefferson”. She was born in Clinton daughter of Francis Xavier and Loretta (Hillner) Boyce.
Mrs. Paulson worked as an occupational therapist for CAPS Collaborative in Gardner, MA, serving multiple-disabled children of Worcester County. She is a graduate of Tufts University. Although she had many interests, Eileen's favorite pass time was her many gardens. She was a talented, self-taught fabric artist and doll sculptor as well as a great friend and companion to many.
A Memorial Celebration Service will be held on Sunday, December 31, at 2:00 p.m. at the Rutland Congregational Church, Main St., Rutland. DIRSA-MORIN Funeral Home, 298 Grafton St., Worcester is assisting the family with arrangements.
