Donald F. Mone, 74, a lifelong resident of Stoughton, died Saturday evening, December 24 at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton after a period of failing health. He was the husband of Nora (Nessralla) Mone. Born March 11, 1932, he was the son of the late John M. Mone and Emma (Ledin) Mone. Mr. Mone was a retired automobile dealer in the Stoughton area and most recently retired from the Security Division of Guardsmark, Inc. in Boston. For many years he enjoyed vacationing in Fort Lauderdale, FL and Cape Cod. He was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church in Stoughton and a member of the Knights of Columbus in Stoughton. In his free time he enjoyed football, baseball and golf.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Mone is survived by his son, John M. Mone and his wife Laura of Stoughton, as well as his grandchildren, John M. Mone, Jr., Robert D. Mone, Thomas J. Mone and Emily Jane Mone. He is also survived by his sisters, Janice McEvoy of N. Easton and Marilyn Hoseny of Goffstown, NH.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Friday, December 29 at 9:15 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:15 AM. Visiting Hours Thursday 5-8 PM. Donations in Donald‘s name may be made to American Heart Assn., 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701. Burial will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Stoughton.
