Obituary

Richard Glen Harris, 60 of Framingham and formerly of Franklin died December 24 in the Oak Knoll Healthcare in Framingham following a long illness.

Born in Rochester, New York, October 18, 1946 the son of Barbara (Rylott) Harris of Sierra Vista, Arizona and the late Richard Harris, Mr. Harris was raised in Rochester and had lived in Franklin for many years prior to entering Oak Knoll 2 years ago.

Mr. Harris was a graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology with a BS in engineering.
He also did graduate worked in technical writing at Northeastern University.

Mr. Harris had been an engineer for the Waters Company for many years and when his health caused him to leave full time at Waters; he continued to do technical writing for the company. Mr. Harris served in the Air Force during the Viet Nam War attain the rank of Staff Sergeant.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his daughters, Shannon Harris-Jardin of North Grafton and Heather Harris of Millbury, his sisters, Judy Harris and Susan Splitt, both of Georgia and a sister-in-law, Jamie Harris of Georgia. He is also survived by his granddaughter, Taylor. He was the brother of the late Michael Harris.

His memorial service will be held on Friday, December 29 in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be private.

Visitation will be on Friday from 10:00-11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 733 Third Ave. New York, NY 10017.
