CHARLTON, MA / Port Huron, MI – Patsy I. (Gillette) Meadows, 71, OF 19 Berry Corner Road, died Saturday, Dec. 23, in Overlook Masonic Health Care. Her husband, Cecil Meadows, died in 1993.
She leaves a son, Edmund J. Smith of Port Huron; a daughter, Susan M. Daugherty and her husband Richard of Charlton, MA; 6 grandchildren, Andrea Curboy, Brandi Daugherty, Justa Smith, James Daugherty, Alexandria Schuman and Ashley Smith; a great granddaughter, Dakota: nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters Viola and Gladys.
She was born in Port Huron, the youngest daughter of Edward and Anna (Penzenhagen) Gillette, and lived there most of her life. She graduated from Port Huron High School in 1954. She moved to Charlton in 2003.
Mrs. Meadows was a member of the Love Outreach Church in Port Huron, the Senior Citizens Center, and the retiree club of Teamsters Local #339. She enjoyed singing, arts and crafts, and crocheting. She was an avid Red Wings and Detroit Tigers fan. She loved the St. Clair River, on whose banks she was raised. She loved people and, above all, her children and grandchildren.
