Ramon L. Rodriguez, 61, of New Bedford died December 25, 2006 at home after a long illness.
Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, the son of Francisca Torres-Cintron of Puerto Rico and the late Ramon Rodriguez, he lived in New Bedford most of his life.
He was formerly employed by Trans American Spinning Mills in New Bedford for many years until his retirement.
Mr. Rodriguez served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed working on cars for his family and friends.
Survivors include his mother; 3 sons, Jason Rodriguez, and his fiancée Lynn Hansen-Flaschen, Stephen Rodriguez, and his fiancée Elizabeth Feliciano, and Michael Rodriguez, all of New Bedford; a step-son, Dale Pereira of Lakeville; 12 brothers and sisters including Adelina Alvarado of New Bedford and Haydee Rodriguez of Puerto Rico; 3 grandchildren, Eliyana, Damon and Kirsten; numerous nieces and nephews.
His visiting hours will be held on Friday, December 29th from 4-8 PM followed by his Funeral Service Friday at 8 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home For Funerals, 495 Park St. New Bedford. Burial will be private.
