Daniel W. Schaufus, 81, of Framingham, formerly of Wellesley, died December 23, 2006 at the Kathleen Daniel Nursing Home in Framingham. He was the beloved husband of Norma (Bianchi) Schaufus.
Mr. Schaufus was born in Waltham and was the son of the late Arthur and Mary (Ward) Schaufus. He was a long time Wellesley resident.
A World War II Veteran serving in the United States Army, he worked as an accountant for the Raytheon Company for many years.
Along with his wife, he leaves a daughter, Deborah A. Tibor of Newport, RI, formerly of Holliston, and a son, Daniel W. Schaufus of Reno, NV. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Kimberley Tibor of Newport, RI, Daniel W. Tibor and his wife Natasha of Westboro, Robert P. Tibor of Allston and Heather Tibor of Walpole. He was the brother of Pauline Neutile of Sudbury and the late Charles, Arthur, Francis and Frederick Schaufus.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend his funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 477 Washington St., Wellesley, on Wednesday at 10:00 AM followed by a funeral mass in St. John the Evangelist Church, Wellesley Hills, at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Wellesley. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 4-8 PM at the funeral home.
