Mr. Louis A. Serino, age 68, died December 22, 2006, in Lexington after a lengthy illness. Born in Boston, Louis was the beloved son of the late Catherine (Imperato) and Louis Serino. Louis was a lifelong Boston resident.
Louis attended schools in the North End of Boston. He graduated from Boston English High School in 1956. Louis studied at Northeastern University and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice in 1971. He then went on to work as a Probation Officer with the Middlesex Superior Court.
Louis was a College Basketball Offical and was a ASA Certified Softball Umpire. He was also a member of the Boston Son´s of Italy and was very involed in yourth organizations in the North End of Boston.
Devoted father of Stephen Serino and “Butkus”, Edward Serino, his wife Donna, Joseph Serino and his fiancé Andrea Gianino all of Medford. Loving grandfather of Alexis Serino. Brother of Paul Serino of Revere.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD, Wednesday, December 27, at 8 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Raphael Church, 512 High St., Medford at 9 AM.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Visiting hours Tuesday 4 thru 8.
Services will conclude with burial at St. Michael Cemetery, Boston.
It has been requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent in Louis’s name to the Italian Home for Children, 1125 Centre St. Jamaica Plain, MA 02130.
