Worcester – George P. Raymond Sr., 76, of Worcester died on Friday Dec. 22, in the Saint Francis Home after an illness.
Mr. Raymond is survived by his companion of 27 years Gayle Niles of Worcester; three sons George Raymond Jr. “Banjo” of Princeton, Gary Bedard of Framingham and David Bedard of Dudley; two daughters Maria Donovan of Oxford and Lisa Hayes of Boylston; a brother Albert Raymond of Leicester; two sisters Rita Kapish of Holden and Betty Sukis of West Boylston; his former wife Ann C. (Gosselin) Raymond of Worcester; 12 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. He is predeceased by a son Paul Leo, a daughter Cheryl Raymond and a brother Wilfred Raymond.
Mr. Raymond was born in Worcester son of Albert and Aldea (Gamache) Raymond and is a veteran of the United States Air Force.
He worked for Kapp Sign Co., Kay – Gee Sign Co. and also Serrato Sign Co. and was a lover of animals.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday December 27, in the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. at 10 AM. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are on Tuesday December 26, from 5 to 8 PM in the funeral home.
