Thomas J. Gamble, Jr., 46, of New Bedford died Friday December 22, 2006 at St. Luke's Hospital surrounded by his loving family after a long illness.
Born in New Bedford, the son of Clarice M. (Shea) Poirier and Thomas J. Gamble, he lived in New Bedford all his life.
Mr. Gamble was formerly employed as a carpenter for Francis Demers Home Improvements.
He attended Holy Family School. He enjoyed vacationing in the mountains in New Hampshire. He loved music and playing with his two dogs.
Survivors include his parents; three children, Melissa Guimont and her husband Shawn, Thomas J. Gamble III, and Marshall DeCosta, all of New Bedford; two sisters, Donna Gamble and her husband Michael Spoor, and Susan Gamble and her fiancé Eddie Santos, all of New Bedford; two brothers, Jay Costello and his wife Karen of New Bedford and Glenn Costello and his wife Yvonne of Las Vegas; a granddaughter, Kylie Marie Gamble; his beloved companion, Carlene Brennan of New Bedford; and several nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late James Costello.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 AM in St. Lawrence Church. Private family burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
