Sophie (Nagle) Brovanick, a longtime resident of Chelsea, died on December 21, 2006 at the Chelsea Jewish Nursing Home. She was 95 years old.
Born in Poland, the daughter of the late Isaac & Gertrude (Kotofsky) Nagle, Sophie came to the United States at a young age. She settled in Chelsea and married the late Samuel Brovanick. Sophie was a member of Temple Emmanuel of Chelsea, a life member of Hadassah, & a member of the Chelsea Jewish Nursing Home Auxiliary.
Sophie is survived by her sister, Thelma Shik of Revere.
Graveside funeral services will be held on Friday, December 22, 2006 at 11:00 AM in the Ahavas Achim Anshe Sfard Cemetery in Lynn. Rabbi Nochum Cywiak of Cong. Agudas Shalom & Cong. Ahavas Achim Anshe Sfard will officiate. Memorial donations in Sophie's memory may be made to the Chelsea Jewish Nursing Home Foundation, 17 Lafayette Ave. Chelsea, MA 02150.
