Francis C. “Frank” Farnsworth, 84 of Deerfield, NH died December 20, 2006 in the Elliot Hospital, Manchester, NH. Mr. Farnsworth was born in Vermont on March 16, 1922 and was raised in E. Derry, NH. Before moving to Deerfield, he had resided in Derry for many years. He served with the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired from the Department of Public Works in Derry where he worked as a truck driver and for the Forest Hill Cemetery. He also worked at several area automotive scrap yards.
He is survived by his son, Dana Farnsworth, one daughter, Andrea Farnsworth of Brentwood, NH, one stepdaughter, Victoria Newman of Manchester, three stepsons, Bill Newman of Manchester, Gordon Leon Vosburgh of Florida, Ernest Joseph Vosburgh of Andover, NH, 11 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Erlene A. (Elliott) Farnsworth in 1995.
There are no calling hours. Following cremation, a graveside gathering was held on Friday December 29th at 2:00pm at Forest Hill Cemetery, Hampstead Rd., E. Derry. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium of Derry is handling arrangements.
