Ora Paulk Sizemore, 87, of Irwinville, died Tuesday, December 19 at Tift Health Care in Tifton.
Funeral services will be held 2 P.M., Sunday, December 24, at Glory United Methodist Church in Berrien County. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to services. The Rev. Jim Osborn and the Rev. Jack Atkinson will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 P.M., Saturday evening at the Paulk Funeral Home in Fitzgerald.
Pallbearers: Woodrow Woods, Jackie Benson, Greg Foster, Lee Everitt, John Morehead and Autrey Moore; honorary: E.J. Wells; music will be provided by D.Q. Pittman and Friends.
Mrs. Sizemore was born January 5, 1919, in Willacoochee to the late John T. and Mary McDonald Paulk. She moved to Irwin County in 1956 from Berrien County. Mrs. Sizemore was a handmaiden to her husband on the family farm. She was one of the founders of the new Glory United Methodist Church and was a member of Irwinville United Methodist Church, serving as treasurer for both churches.
Mrs. Sizemore is survived by her daughters & sons-in-law: Marilyn S. & LeRoy Everitt of Cheyenne, WY and Patricia S. & Jack Foster of Demorest; sons: Ted W. Sizemore and Glenn D. Sizemore, both of Irwinville; grandchildren: Lee (Kelly) Everitt of Winter Garden, FL, Terri F. (Dr. David A.) Bruce of Clemson, SC and Jack Gregory (Christine P.) Foster of Atlanta; great-grandchildren: Samuel Namon Bruce and Madelyn Patricia Bruce. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Sizemore and brothers, Auburn, Dormas, Alton, Ines E., and Winnes H. Paulk, an infant sister and nephews, Marshall Edward Paulk and Ray Alvinson Paulk.
