SPENCER: David R. Suter,72, of Howe Village, died Wednesday, Dec. 23 at St.
Vincent Hospital in Worcester after being stricken ill at home.
He leaves his wife of 51 years, Gertrude M. (Sasseville) Suter, a son Gary
D. Suter and his wife Donna, a daughter Kathy J. Henderson and her husband
Daniel, five grandchildren Colby D. Henderson, Casey L. and Zachary G.
Suter, Caylin L. and Courtney M. Henderson all of Spencer, several nieces
and nephews.
Mr. Suter, was a photographer for 50 years and owner of David R. Suter
Studio & Frame Shop before retiring in 2000.
He graduated from David Prouty High School in 1952, and served in the U.S.
Army during the Korean War. He was a lifetime honorary member and past
president of the Spence Exchange Club, former corporator of Spencer Savings
Bank, member of the Gaudette-Kirk Post 138 American Legion and former board
member and longtime President of the Spencer Rescue Squad.
He enjoyed his family, grandchildren, and woodworking.
Graveside Services with Military Honors will be held on Saturday, Dec. 23 at
10 a.m. in Pine Grove Cemetery, Rte 31N., in Spencer, followed by a
reception to be held at The Black & White Restaurant at 11a.m. on Rte 31N.
