Funeral services for Mrs. Ida Mae Mauldin Wood, 93, of McAlpin, Fl. will be held Thursday, December 21, 2006 in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Turner Co., Ga. The family will receive friends at Perry Funeral Chapel Thursday from 10:00 AM untill 11:00 AM with graveside services to follow in Bethel Cemetery. Mrs. Wood died Monday in Dowling Park, Fl. following an extended illness.
Mrs. Wood was born in Turner County, Ga. and had lived in Florida for many years. She was the daughter of the late John Thomas and Millie Sumner Mauldin. She was a homemaker and a member of the Bethel Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Winston Wood, McAlpin, Fla. and one son, Gordon Mauldin of Clearwater, Fl. Also surviving are four brothers, Grady Mauldin, Ashburn, Ga., Charles Mauldin, Eatonton, Ga., Edward Mauldin, Columbus, Ga., Jerry Mauldin, Las Vegas, Nevada.; two sisters, Minnie Lee Vance, Tifton, Ga. and Vera Bell Hill, Ashburn, Ga. She is also survived by one grandchild and three great grandchildren.
