
Dennis "Rainbow" Murle Priddy, 56, of Norman Park, died Monday, December 18, 2006, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center in Moultrie. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 22, 2006, at New Elm Baptist Church in Colquitt County. Rev. Allen Tillman will officiate with burial to follow in New Elm Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mark Holloway, Rodney Holloway, John Collier, Scott Lindsey, Jamie Freeman, Brian Cook and Lee Lindsey. The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 21, 2006, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mr. Priddy was born on June 23, 1950 in Long Beach, California and was the son of Clarence Priddy and Irene Gooch Priddy, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by one son, John Paul Priddy, who died on July 3, 2006. He was a truck driver and a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the United States Marine Corps. He had lived in Colquitt County most of his life.
Mr. Priddy is survived by his wife, Amy Lynne Homoki Priddy of Norman Park; one daughter, Marianne Elizabeth Priddy of Moultrie; two brothers, Dalton Priddy of California and Reed Priddy of Missouri; three sisters, Beverly Forth of Ohio, Eileene King of Missouri and Clarissa Hughes of California; and one grandson, Joshua Ray Priddy.
