Robert L. Rowe, 49, of Blackshear, Georgia died Sunday, December 17 at St. Vincents Medical Center in Jacksonville, Florida.
Funeral services will be held 2 P.M., Thursday, December 21, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, with Rev. Talmadge Wilcox, officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 7 until 9 Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
Mr. Rowe was born July 26, 1957, in Ben Hill County to the late Lee and Eloise Smith Rowe. He lived in Blackshear for the past four and a half years. Mr. Rowe was 1976 Graduate from Fitzgerald High School and attended ABAC. Mr. Rowe was a truck driver, a former employee of Owens & Son Paving Company, and Lowell Packing Company, he was presently working for Wilson Trucking Co.. He was an avid musician; a lead guitarist and vocalist, he loved to fish. He attended Kramer Baptist Church in Wilcox County.
Mr. Rowe is survived by his fiancée: Kitty Allday of Blackshear; son and daughter: Kelly L. Rowe and Kathy Rowe, both of Ocilla; Step daughter: Gwen Gaskins of Blackshear; 2 grandchildren; brothers and sister: Gene “Tiny” Rowe, Troy Rowe and Sue R. Hodges, all of Fitzgerald; two uncles and one aunt several nieces and nephews. Mr. Rowe was preceded in death by his parents.
