Irene F. (DeFelice) Swain of Norwood formerly of Dedham, died December 17, 2006. She was 83.
Mrs. Swain was born in Dedham and was the daughter of the late Guido and Domenica (Natale) DeFelice. She was a Dedham resident for many years and worked as an accountant for Instrumentation Laboratories in Lexington.
She was the devoted mother of Barbara A. Balzarini and her husband Joseph L. of West Roxbury. She was the grandmother of Lisa A. Balzarini of Danvers and Joanne L. Balzarini and her fiancé Scott P. Bowdridge of Norwood. She was the sister of Domenica DeFelice of Norwood, Ann Mahoney of Norwood and the late Albert J. DeFelice and Vido DeFelice Jr.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend her funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., Dedham, Thursday at 8:00 AM. Followed by a funeral mass in St. Mary’s Church, Dedham, at 9:00 AM. Interment will be in Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 4-8 PM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Irene’s memory to Mount Alvernia High School, 790 Centre St, Newton, MA 02458.
