Patricia A. (Morse) Walsh, 70, of New Bedford died Monday December 18, 2006 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness. She was the wife of Thomas P. Walsh.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Milton L. and Evelyn M. (Jameson) Morse, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
Mrs. Walsh was formerly employed as a school teacher at Carney Academy until her retirement.
She was a graduate of New Bedford High School and UMass-Dartmouth. She was a docent at the New Bedford Whaling Museum. She was a member of the Buttonwood Zoological Society, WHALE, the National Educators Association, and the Massachusetts Teachers Association. She was a former member of the New Bedford Junior Women's Club.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Shaun P. Walsh and his wife Karen of Marion, and Michael J. Walsh of Plymouth; two brothers, Milton L. Morse, Jr. and Chester E. Morse, both of New Bedford; five grandchildren, Kate, Brendan, Sarah, Hannah, and Caroline; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Steven M. Walsh.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 9 AM in St. Mary's Church, Tarkiln Hill Rd. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
