Peggy J. Hall Woods, 59, of Tifton, died Sunday, December 17, 2006, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Eddie Allen and Rev. Bill Barksdale will officiate with burial to follow in Tift Memorial Gardens. Bronzal Dixon, Lance Golden, Bob Lee, Brandon Harper, Gary Kearce and Herman Evans will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Whitehead, Kenny Brownlee, Dennis Brownlee, Johnny Woods, Joel Bruce, Ernest Giddens, Morgan Moon and Joe Camp. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 19, 2006, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Ms. Woods was born on August 4, 1947 in Tift County and was the daughter of Roy Hall and Clara Mae Hall Bassett, both deceased. She was retired from Prestolite Wire Corporation and was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Ms. Woods is survived by her husband, Jimmy "Ray" Woods of Tifton; one son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Kasey Woods of Tifton; one daughter and son-in-law, Alicia and Brian Couvillon of Tifton; one sister, Dottie Evans of Tifton; and four grandchildren, Cayla Rae Couvillon, Connor Couvillon, Allison Woods and Ashlee Woods.
