Dorothy L. (Silveira) Gaspar, 77, of Mattapoisett died December 17, 2006 unexpectedly at St. Luke's Hospital.
She was the wife of Robert Gaspar.
Born in Mattapoisett, the daughter of the late Francis E. and Elona M. "Dolly" (Smith) Silveira, she lived in Mattapoisett all of her life.
Mrs. Gaspar was a graduate of Center School in Mattapoisett and Fairhaven High School. She enjoyed knitting, gardening and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband; her 6 children, Susan Sartini Perry of Lakeville, Joann L. Silva of Norman, OK, Matthew J. Silva and Marc A. Gaspar, both of Mattapoisett, Sheryll A. Rodrigues of Fall River and Lisa M. Salvatore of Connecticut; 4 brothers, Charles J. Silveira, Clifford S. Silveira, Francis H. Silveira and Timothy M. Silveira, all of Mattapoisett; 2 sisters, Nancy J. Olsen of Mattapoisett and Sally R. Scudellari of Springfield; 7 grandchildren, Becky, Kyle, Brad, Neil, Alex, Lindsey and Orion; 1 great-granddaughter, Morgan; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Allen T. Silveira.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 20th at 11 AM in the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home For Funerals, 50 County Rd. (Rt. 6) Mattapoisett. Visiting hours Tuesday, December 19th from 6-9 PM.
