LEICESTER: Napoleon P. Lajoie,93, formerly of 778 Main St., died Saturday,
Dec. 16 in The Hermitage Nursing Home in Worcester.
He was the husband of Claire B. (Lussier) Lajoie who died in 2005. He leaves
a son Philip R. Lajoie of Fabyan, Ct., two daughters Anita L. Lajoie of Cape
Cod, and Judith S. Walls of Spencer, a sister Irene Belisle of Worcester, 9
grand children and 15 great grand children, nieces and nephews. His daughter
Jeanne A. Lajoie died in 2001.
Mr. Lajoie was a customs officer for the U.S. Customs Service in Worcester
for 25 years, retiring in 1982. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.
He graduated from Commerce High and Worcester Junior College. He was a
longtime volunteer for St. Vincent de Paul visiting shut ins. He was a
member of St. Joseph's Church.
At the family's request no services are planned at this time with burial at
a later date in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. Please omit flowers,
contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St.,
Framingham, Ma. 01701. MORRISON-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St.,Leicester
