Obituary

Port Charlotte, FL: Henry LeTourneau age 81 of Port Charlotte and formerly of Salem, MA, died Tuesday, December 12, 2006 at his home following a long illness. He was the husband of Lorraine E (Burrows) LeTourneau.
Born and raised in Salem, he was the son of the late Henri O. and Bella (Bourque) Letourneau. In his younger years, he and his family were all involved in music and entertainment. A veteran of W.W. II, he served with the Army’s Service Battery, 61st Field Artillery in the Philippines and Japan. Following the war he returned to Salem and was employed as a job developer for the Division of Employment Security for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Prior to moving to Florida in 1988, he was a resident of Peabody, MA. Henry was a life member of the Salem VFW Post 1524, and was also a member of the American Legion, Punta Gorda, FL, The Moose Lodge and the B.P.O.E. (Elks) both of Port Charlotte.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by 4 daughters: Frances Jean Farino & Cecile LeTourneau both of Port Charlotte, FL, Mary Ann Greska & Laurel Samson both of Gilford, NH, a stepson, Robert G. Economou of Tewksbury, MA, a stepdaughter, Donna M. Normand of Peabody. Henry is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife Cecile (St.Pierre) LeTourneau, a daughter, Judith (Drouin) Farley, 3 sisters: Marguerite Cote Carne, Beatrice Kelleher and Lucienne Dupray.
Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral on Thursday, December 21, 2006 at 8 am from the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St., [Rt. 114 / 1-A] Salem followed by his funeral mass in Ste. Anne Church, Jefferson Ave., Salem at 9 am. Visiting hours: Wednesday 4 to 8 pm. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of your choice.
