Edith F. Huddard, 98, of Waterman Drive, Scituate, died Saturday at Fatima Hospital. She was the widow of Sydney R.J. Huddart.
Born in Wales, she had been a resident of North Scituate for 35 years and had previously lived in England.
She had worked for Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital for many years before retiring.
She is survived by a son Derwent “Jim” J. Huddart and his wife Jane, of North Scituate, two daughters; Jessie J. Balme and her husband Stephen, of Coventry and Diane J. Luther and her husband Allen, with whom she lived, of North Scituate, five grandchildren, five great grandchildren and a brother Archibald Humphries of England. She was the grandmother of the late James R. Luther and sister of the late William, Thomas, Hilda and Harold Humphries and Beatrice Morton-Williams.
Funeral Service Tuesday at 11am in the *ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Burial in Glenford Cemetery, Scituate. Visitation Monday 5-7pm. In lieu of flowers the family would prefer that you do something that was so special to Edith, spend time with your family.
